Establishment and Characterization of a Fin Cell Line Derived from the Atlantic Salmon Salmo salar and Its Application to Fish Virology Study

چکیده
Atlantic salmon (Salmo salar) is an important economic fish that seriously threatened by various viruses. A cell line designated as ASF derived from the caudal fin tissue of was established and characterized in this study. cells grew well Dulbecco’s modified Eagle’s medium (DMEM) containing 20% fetal bovine serum at 20°C. DNA sequencing comparative analysis cytochrome B gene verified originated salmon. Chromosome indicated modal chromosome number 58. Viral susceptibility test showed were susceptive to two viruses, viral hemorrhagic septicemia virus (VHSV) red-spotted grouper nervous necrosis (RGNNV). replication further confirmed qRT-PCR transmission electron microscopy. Moreover, VHSV RGNNV infections could induce cellular responses cells, differential expression antiviral response-related genes, interferon-1 Mx-1. In conclusion, newly can be applied vitro tool virology immunity studies.

Atlantic salmon Salmo salar : evidence from fin damage
Dorsal fin damage in salmonid fishes is primarily caused by aggression. While undesirable in fish culture, it can nevertheless be a useful tool to study social interactions in large groups of fish where it is difficult to study the behaviour of known individuals directly. We used low Ž . temperature treatment to manipulate the growth rates of juvenile Atlantic salmon Salmo salar in the spring a...

Distribution Th e species’ range encompasses Europe, North America, and Green land (1) (Fig.1). Non-anadromous forms occur in Europe in a few land-locked locations in Norway and Sweden, and throughout the Neva/Lake Ladoga system and Karelia regions of Russia. In North America non-anadromous forms occurred throughout most of the species’ historical range, as far west as Lake Ontario, and remain ...

Amoebic gill disease (AGD) is the most important parasitic disease of Atlantic salmon industry inAustralia. Atlantic salmon (Salmo salar) experimentally infected with Neoparamoeba sp. apparently showedAGD gross signs on the gill and an amoebic-associated gill pathology. Physico-chemical factors of waterduring the experiment were monitored regularly and were approximately constant (temperature: ...
متن کاملImmunoglobulin Isotypes in Atlantic Salmon, Salmo Salar
There are three major immunoglobulin (Ig) isotypes in salmonid fish: IgM, IgD and IgT, defined by the heavy chains μ, δ and τ, respectively. As a result of whole genome duplication in the ancestor of the salmonid fish family, Atlantic salmon (Salmo salar) possess two highly similar Ig heavy chain gene complexes (A and B), comprising two μ genes, two δ genes, three intact τ genes and five τ pseu...
